We walked along and over the low rocky cliffs
that lead to this beach and I was intrigued and somewhat nervous to watch my five-year old daughter climbing up and down tricky bits of rock while I was underneath her to catch her if she fell.
I let her make her own decisions and use her judgement.
What fascinated me was to see that she moved carefully and safely and with some elegance through quite difficult territory.
The idea that came to me was that 'Unsafe was safe'
Which led me to thoughts about traffic lights and roundabouts.
